Tresor Capital is in a phase of strong growth, a development for which we are grateful. A growing number of relationships are finding their way to us, which was underlined by the record attendance at our relationship dinner in May, where we were able to welcome more than 120 guests. We are grateful for the trust that forms the basis of this success.
This growth translates into an expansion of our team and facilities. To accommodate the growth, we recently doubled our office space again, less than a year after the previous expansion.
Even more important is the strengthening of our team. After Jelle Vermeulen and Michel Salden last year, we are now pleased to welcome Joep Dikken, who joins us full-time as an analyst after a successful internship. We are delighted with his arrival and wish him every success.
Below, Joep briefly introduces himself to you.
Introduction Joep Dikken
“My name is Joep Dikken, I am 22 years old and born in Nijmegen. Since four years I have been living in beautiful Maastricht, where I have enjoyed studying and in the meantime have stuck around for work.
In Maastricht, I pursued my bachelor’s degree in International Business, with a specialization in Finance. During this period I was active in the student investment club, where I was part of the analyst team focusing on technology stocks. Every week we did in-depth analyses and pitched our recommendations to shareholders within the fund. A special chapter during my undergraduate was my exchange to Santiago, the capital of Chile. There I studied for a semester and picked up quite a bit of Spanish at the same time. After my bachelor’s, I started the master’s in Financial Economics, also at Maastricht University. During my master I did an internship at Tresor Capital two days a week, where I got to know the work as an analyst in practice. I successfully completed my master’s with a thesis on serial acquirers, a topic that closely matches the investment focus within Tresor Capital’s portfolio.
I myself have been actively investing since 2020. In those years, I have learned a lot-sometimes by making mistakes, but mostly by staying curious and critically reflective. Whereas in the beginning I was particularly enamored with growth stocks in the technology sector, these days I prefer to focus on stable, niche compounders with a strong long-term profile.
In my free time, I like to be outdoors and active. I see sports as the best investment you can make, an investment in your own health. You can often find me in the hills of Limburg, running for a short round, or on my bike when I have more time.
I am looking forward to joining Tresor Capital as a junior analyst, where I will focus on analyzing and modeling both our existing portfolio and new investment opportunities. In this way, I hope to contribute to even sharper analysis and returns.”
Sincerely,
Joep Dikken
